The Heart of Texas (HOT) volleyball officials’ chapter is one of 29 chapters, organized into 14 districts in the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) volleyball division. TASO is the governing body for all high school sports in the state of Texas.

TASO works with the University Interscholastic League (UIL) which is the governing body for all high school extracurricular activities in the state of Texas. Unlike other states, TASO is an independent organization of sports officials governed by sports officials. The HOT chapter is also an independent organization of officials run by its officials and in this case volleyball officials
